Temizlik eğitimleri verilirken bilinen temizlik bilgileri haricinde yine hemşirelik hizmetleri ve enfeksiyon bölümüyle irtibat halinde kalındı ve temizlik işleriyle ilgili bir eğitim dökümanı oluşturuldu. Eğitimler bu dökümana göre gerçekleştirildi. Temizlik personelleri tarafından hastanenin ve Çayyolu Kampüsünün tüm alanlarında temizlik yapılmaktadır. Temizlik personeli vardiya sistemi ile çalışmaktadır. İlk vardiya sabah 7’de başlayıp öğlen 3’te; ikinci vardiya öğlen 2 buçukta başlayıp akşam 10 buçukta; üçüncü vardiya ise akşam 10’da başlayıp sabah 7’de bitmektedir. Hasta katlarında yoğun temizlik gündüz yapılırken polikliniklerde ise yoğun temizlik gece yapılmaktadır. Bu nedenle personel sayısı hasta katlarında ve polikliniklerde gün içinde değişiklik göstermektedir. Temizlik personeli risk grubuna göre iki farklı alanda temizlik yapmaktadır. Poliklinik odalarında ve hasta katlarında yapılan temizliğin tekniği, malzemeleri, deterjanları kritik alan denilen ameliyathanelerde, yoğun bakımlarda, acil serviste ve sterilizasyon ünitesinde farklılık göstermektedir.  Fakat iş disiplini ve temizlik düzeninde hiçbir farklılık yoktur. Kurum Ev İdaresi Bölümünde genellikle kadın çalışanlar hakimdir. Hasta katlarında ve kliniklerde erkek personel çok fazla çalıştırılmamaktadır. Erkek personeller genellikle lobilerde, dış mıntıkalarda ve güç gerektiren işlerde görev almaktadırlar. Temizlik yapmanın zorlu bir iş olmasından dolayı Kurum Ev İdaresi Bölümü; sağlık sorunu olan ve yaşı ilerleyen personellerin usta-öğretici konumunda ve kat sorumlusu olarak yeni gelen personellerin eğitilmesinde görevlendirmektedir. Ayrıca bu personeller, yatak ve nevresim gibi ihtiyaçların belirlenmesini sağlamaktadırlar. Hastanedeki temizlik işleyişinin kurumsal bir düzende ve prosedürlerle ilerlemesi ise 1998-2007 yılları arasında bölüm yöneticisi olarak görev yapan Selma Kırdar öncülüğünde gerçekleşmiştir. Kurum Ev İdaresi Bölümü, İcra Kurlu Başkan Vekilliğine bağlıdır.
